After a very successful career in Agrokor, Darko Knez continues his career in private business

Darko Knez, Agrokor’s Executive Vice President for Retail business group will continue his career outside of the Group. After 17 years in Agrokor, Darko Knez decided to look for new business challenges in private entrepreneurship.
Darko Knez began his career in Agrokor in 1999. He went to Konzum in 2000 as a deputy and shortly thereafter as the director of Logistics. He became the director of the Marketing Sector and in February of 2004, he became Chief Operation Officer for Retail and Marketing. He became the CEO of Konzum in 2007 and he successfully led the company until 2015. In 2014, he played a significant role within Agrokor’s team responsible for the integration of Konzum and Mercator while successfully integrating these two companies in Croatia. On January 1st 2016, he became Agrokor’s Executive Vice President for the Retail Business Group.
Darko Knez was born in Osijek in 1970. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Zagreb and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Faculty of economics and business, University of Zagreb. He is currently pursuing a PhD at the IEDC Bled School of Management.
So, Darko Knez will, after a very successful career in Agrokor, continue his professional path in private business.
