Agrokor d.d. moves headquarters from the tower to Žitnjak
Dec 04, 2017
Agrokor d.d. employees as of today, instead of the Cibona business tower work in offices in Žitnjak located in Marijana Čavića 1. The decision to move was made in order to better manage available office space in the Agrokor Group. The number of employees is almost half the size compared to the beginning of this year and therefore a larger part of the tower was not in use. So it was decided that the central support services and the management team move physically closer to operational companies biggest of which are located in Žitnjak. The plan to better manage and use Agrokor owned office space more efficiently also includes, in time, moving certain Agrokor Group companies, those who do not have their own space and are paying rent to third parties, to the tower, as well as renting the remaining space to potential tenants. As for the possibility of a sale, it is hampered by numerous burdens and pledges that were also placed on the tower during the previous management. In case a serious buyer appears, the sale will be decided upon by the creditors.
The Cibona business tower was Agrokor’s management building for nearly 18 years. Agrokor bought the first 14 floors from the company Astra in 1999, while the rest of the office space in the tower were being purchased from previous owners up to 2010. Agrokor d.d. is today the majority owner of Cibona business tower with a share in ownership of 76,03% and has 5,905.16 m2 of office space at its disposal. New Agrokor management building in Žitnjak has a total area of 1,758.70 m2, 1,000 m2 of which is office space area.
