AGROKOR'S CORPORATE BONDS ON THE EUROPEAN MARKET
Apr 04, 2002
The Agrokor Group has successfully placed its corporate bonds at the European capital market. The transaction of selling Agrokor bonds was lead managed by one of the world's biggest investment banks, Credit Suisse First Boston, and co-lead managed by Deutsche Bank and Privredna banka Zagreb. By selling its bonds Agrokor has collected EUR 130 million that will be used to refinance the existing debt with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Agrokor holds the placement of corporate bonds to be an exceptional business success, in view of the fact that it is the first Croatian company and one of the first from transitional countries to successfully launch its bonds on the European market. By issuing corporate bonds Agrokor has been actively involved in the international capital market, extending its international investor base, thus indisputably reaffirming the company's previous successes and the fact that its values have been recognized outside of the borders of Croatia and the region. The successful placement of corporate bonds has provided Agrokor with the conditions for further development, new investments, employments and a strong and stable growth in line with its strategy of becoming the leading company of the region.
