Agrokor's Vice President Ljerka Puljić among the awarded business women of the year according to ESM's choice

Organized by the European Supermarket Magazine (ESM) and the Institute of Grocery Distribution (IGD), the award-giving ceremony for the most successful business women in Europe and their excellent achievement in food and retail sector was held today in London.

Agrokor's Vice President Ljerka Puljić among the awarded business women of the year according to ESM's choiceESM is the leading Pan-European retail magazine, read by the leading people from the food and retail sector, and IGD is the expert in food and retail industry. Their awards are designed for dynamic business women on the leading positions in this sector. After a few months of consultations, the team of judges headed by Joanne Denney-Finch, the chairman of the IGD Management Board, selected 20 winners in cooperation with a number of leading European journalists and publishers. With this award for her contribution, Mrs. Ljerka Puljić, Agrokor’s Senior Executive Vice President for Strategic Business Groups and Marketing and the Business Group Agriculture, who has been dealing with food and retail since 1994, entered among the 20 leading European business women in the food and retail sector in 2010.

This award is not only a great acknowledgement to Agrokor Group, the biggest company in Adria Region, whose efforts to achieve excellence and best practice have been widely recognized, but also another confirmation of the ability of its management that knew to select the right strategy. With the consistent implementation of this strategy, they managed to consolidate business operations and strengthen the leading position of the company in the region and firmly establish it as a prominent member of the industry on a Europe-wide basis.
