Agrolaguna licensed for eco-production of olive oil, Malvasia and Teran wine and pastures
Based on an expert assessment published by the company AgriBioCert, Agrolaguna received a license for eco-production in 2009. The assessment determined the following constituents of eco-production: 13 hectares of olive groves, six hectares of vineyards and five hectares of pastures. This fulfils the requirements for the market placement of 8,000 500-ml bottles and 6,960 250-ml bottles of eco-olive oil, 37,333 750-ml bottles of Malvasia variety wine and 6,666 750-ml bottles of Teran variety wine, as well as five hectares of pastures for company-owned sheep and goat herds, which completes the prerequisite for the eco-production of sheep cheese. This certificate enables 250-ml and 500-ml OL Istria eco-olive oil, 750-ml Malvasia Laguna Histria wine, 750-ml Teran Laguna Histria wine and Laguna Histria Istrian sheep cheese to use the “eco-product” label. As such, they will be placed on the market by the end of the year.
