CROPAK of the year to Poj Sparkling Wine from Agrokor Vina

Ledo Traditional Meals have won the award in the category of the best packaging of a Croatian product
On this year's festival of packaging, FEST.A CROPAK 2011, the awards were given for the best packaging in Croatia in 2011 and in the region REGPAK 2011, and among many laureates two prestigious awards were won by Agrokor's acquisitions, Agrokor Vina and Ledo.
The main award for CROPAK of the year was given to the packaging of the prestigiousPoj Sparkling Wine from Mladina Cellar, from Jastrebarsko, that does business withinAgrokor Vina d.o.o. from Zagreb, whose design is created by Sanja Kirinić from Agrokor's Department for Corporate Promotion and Design . The packaging of this product has also won the award in the category of packaging of a Croatian product in the wine sub-category. In the category of packaging of the Croatian product or series, the award was also given to "Traditional Meals" from Ledo's line of ready-made meals whose design is created by Predrag Zagorac from Agrokor's Department for Corporate Promotion and Design. More than 30 products and 32 series (over 170 products altogether) applied for the competition for best packaging on the Croatian market CROPAK, in 11 different categories, while 64 products applied for the prestigious REGPAK award for the best packaging in the region and the awards were given in two categories. The festival of packaging was organized by the Institute of Packaging and Graphic Arts, company Tectus d.o.o. from Zagreb and the professional magazine Ambalaža/REGprint, under the general patronage by WPO (World Packaging Organization) together with other sponsors: EPIC – European Packaging Institutes Consortium, the Ministry of Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Croatia, the Ministry Of The Sea, Traffic And Infrastructure of the Republic of Croatia, Directorate for Island and Coastal Development, Croatian Chamber of Commerce and the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund of the Republic of Croatia. The aim of the CROPAK and REGPAK competition is to promote and reward the producers, designers and users of packaging as a means of protection, identification and promotion of products. Another goal is to motivate competitiveness in order to expand the limits of the creation of packaging in accordance with high standards and demands of the profession. The participants of the competition include Croatian and foreign users of packaging, - brand owners, packaging producers and printers of labels and displays, professional designers, advertising agencies and design companies and Croatian owners of entire systems and the producers of machines, devices and equipment for packaging management and packaging waste disposal. All CROPAK and REGPAK award winners can automatically nominate their packaging for the international WorldStar award which will be given by World Packaging Organization (WPO), whose member is the Institute of Packaging and Graphic Arts from Zagreb.
