International success for Vina Laguna

Gold Medal and Regional Trophy for Vina Laguna Castello 2012 at the Prestigious Decanter Competition in London
At this years Decanter World Wine Awards Evaluation in London Vina Laguna have won as many as five medals, the most significant one among them being the gold medal for Vina Laguna Castello 2012 This wine has also won the prestigious Regional Trophy.
Silver was awarded to Vina Laguna Festigia Malvazija 2013 and Vina Laguna Terra Rossa 2013 and bronze to Vina Laguna Festigia Merlot 2012 and Vina Laguna Festigia Cabernet Sauvignon 2011.
Vina Laguna have thus beaten the exceptionally strong global wine competitors at the contest known as the world's most prestigious wine award, presented by the reputable magazine Decanter.

„The Regional Trophy for Festigia Castello 2012 is a reward for all the efforts and the great enthusiasm, which are the common denominator of all those involved in creating the quality and brand value of Vina Laguna. Irrespective of the fact that international sorts like Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon are part of the product range, it still exudes the Istrian spirit and terroir. It shows off all the features of great Istiran red wines in the best possible way: their elegance, complexity, softness and ripeness of the tannins, their deep and lively color, the freshness of Istria's specific moderate Mediterranean climate and the warmth of the red Istrian soil,“ – noted Milan Budinski, Agrolaguna's Chief Oenologist.
This year the 12th in row Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA) Competition took place, where a Jury consisting of the world's leading wine experts evaluated more than 15,000 wine samples from all over the world. Due to the complex and rigorous valuation process, awards won at this competition bear a great international significance.
At Agrolaguna a great investment cycle in plantations, technology and machinery worth HRK 220m was completed during the course of 2014. Vina Laguna wines, which have from year to year been winning more and more international awards at wine competitions worldwide, are the fruit of varieties grown at 600 hectares of vineyards at 11 locations in Istria.
The wines are also present on the markets of Germany, the United Kingdom and Austria, as well as Poland and Serbia and Agrolaguna plans to further expand to new export markets. The global successes of Vina Laguna are the result of the hard work of Agrolaguna's team of experts headed by the Oenologist Milan Budinski.
