The wine Malvasia Festigia 2010 Vina Laguna has achieved considerable success by winning the Golden Star award in the Italian wine guide Vinibuoni d'Italia 2012.Vinibuoni d'Italia is a unique and international wine guide that presents only wine producers of indigenous varieties, that is, wine varieties that are continuously grown in a particular area for at least 300 years. Istrian wine producers are listed in this guide due to the historical connection between Istria and Italy, and the wines were judged by 80 wine tasters divided into 21 commissions.In 2011, Vina Laguna were for the first time included in this guide represented by Muškat Ruža, harvest 2008, which was described as "a wine not to be missed".A total of 32 wine samples of Istrian Malvasia of various Istrian producers has been tested and evaluated in this year's guide. Malvasia Festigia 2010 is the wine that won the Golden Star Award which is awarded to wines characterized by abounding elegance, finesse, harmony, quality and specific expression of the variety and territory. The fact that, in addition to winning this award, the wine was also nominated for the most prestigious award of the Vinibuoni d'Italia guide called Corona (the crown), further compliments its excellence.The wine Malvasia Festigia 2010 is a high quality dry wine, straw yellow in colour with reflections tending to greenish, intense aroma, fruit and floral character with some minerality on the finish. The wine is round on the palate, fresh, elegant and very harmonious.
