Strengthening of co-operation between Belje and the Faculty of Agriculture at Osijek UniversityThe year-long successful co-operation between Belje and the Faculty of Agriculture at Osijek University was strengthened today by the signing of an agreement on scientific, educational and expert co-operation. The mutual exchange of theory, knowledge and practical experience benefits both sides. Students at the Faculty of Agriculture, and university staff in general, can familiarise themselves with world trends and achievements in agriculture, as represented by the modern agricultural production of Belje. At the same time, Belje employees can develop and acquire modern theoreticalknow-how and apply it in their operations and business activities through organised seminars and specialist lectures at the Faculty of Agriculture in Osijek. The scientific, technical and educational co-operation between the Faculty of Agriculture and Belje covers crop production (crops nourishment and soil science, ecological agriculture, seed growing and crop improvement, protection of crops and wine production), livestock breeding (pig breeding, meat processing, milk processing, cattle breeding, feeding of cattle and ecological livestock breeding), and the use and maintenance of agricultural mechanisation and agricultural economics.
