Tisak Opens New Distribution Center

Since 2007 when Tisak joined the Agrokor Group, it has become the only distribution company able to distribute any product to any location in Croatia within 24 hours, all 365 days of the year. Today Tisak operates more than 1,300 own kiosks and communicates with almost 2,000 wholesale customers on a daily basis. Including the new distribution center and HQ building, Agrokor's total investment in Tisak amounts to more than HRK 500m.

Tisak Opens New Distribution Center

The new distribution center and HQ building spread on an area of 13,555 square meters, with the storage area accounting for as much as 5,500 sqm, which is almost five times more than the storage area Tisak had in the old distribution center. This imposing center was designed on the model of the world's most modern press management centers and meets the most recent quality standards in press distribution. The new distribution center integrates the processes of circulating, receiving, commissioning and dispatching press, collecting and processing returns from agents and other logistic processes necessary to ensure quality everyday distribution to more than 8,000 delivery points. The opening ceremony was attended by the Vice President of the Agrokor Group's Management Board Mr. Damir Kuštrak, who said: „These days we have been opening a number of new facilities; last week the farms at Belje, today the Tisak distribution center and in the following days the state-of-the-art stevedoring facility at the port of Vukovar, the biogas facility in Gradec and many more.All of these investments are a guarantee of competitiveness and further development on the demanding EU market, whose member we are soon about to become.“

Dražen Kocijan, CEO of Tisak d.d., said on this occasion: „We are proud to say today that due to the investments in business modernization and development, in spite the recession which has also affected our industry, we were able to lay the foundation and secure the prerequisites for the stability of our operations and Tisak's further growth and development. The new distribution center is a turning point in Tisak's operations and shall contribute to a greater satisfaction of all stakeholders – our partners, publishers and suppliers, as well as our customers.“ Today's opening was also attended by Mr. Vedran Kružić, Associate Minister of Economy for trade and the internal market. The investor of this project was the company Vetel, the contractors were Tehnika, KFK Tehnika and Siže Kupres while the project team came from the company TOGA Inženjering, headed by Mrs Ljubica Tošić, B.Sc.Eng.
