Top results for supreme wines of Podrumi Belje and Agrolaguna

Wines from Podrumi Belje and Agrolaguna received excellent results at the 15th International rating of wines, which was sponsored by the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV from Paris), at the INGA Fair (Fair of food, drink and gastronomical innovations) that was held for the first time as a part of the Autumn Zagreb Fair.
Chardonnay Belje, vintage 2008, was the champion in the category of dry white wines, and also won the “Studec” Award for the best rated Croatian wine. For a number of years, Podrumi Belje and Agrolaguna have been achieving top results for the quality of their products, and this was confirmed again this year with as many as 5 gold, 9 silver and 3 bronze medals. This recognition is not only for the quality of wine, but also for the effort and investment of all those people that are involved in the production process of these esteemed wines. Gold medals were awarded to the Belje Goldberg Chardonnay 2007, Goldberg Graševina 2008, Chardonnay 2008, Ice Wine Chardonnay 2008 and Agrolaguna Festigia Merlot. The silver medal was awarded to the White Pinot 2008 from Belje, and honorary silver recognitions were awarded to the Goldberg Merlot 2007, Cabernet Sauvignon 2007, Goldberg Cabernet Sauvignon 2007, and Graševina 2008 from Belje; as well as the Festigia Malvazija 2008, Festigia Cabernet Sauvignon 2007, Festigia Castello 2006 and Merlot Laguna Histria 2008 from Agrolaguna. The bronze, honorary recognitions went to Merlot 2007 and 2008 from Belje, and Muškat Ruži Laguna Histria 2008 from Poreč Agrolaguna. The aforementioned titles are only a continuation of the long trend of awards that have been given to wines from Podrumi Belje and Agrolaguna, and the most significant awards are the double champion titles to Belje Graševina this year at the 3rd festival of Graševinas in Kutjevo and the two prestigious bronze medals to Festigia Cabernet Sauvignon and Festigia Merlot Agrolaguna at this year’s Decater World Wine Award in London. The well established and esteemed Podrumi Belje, as well as the wines from Poreč Agrolaguna, have additionally confirmed their role and significance among the Croatian producers of supreme wines with the awards they have won.
