Deputy Extraordinary Commissioner
Irena Weber has served as Deputy Extraordinary Commissioner of Agrokor since February 2018 where she is responsible for operational business of the system. Since April 2017 she has been Advisor to the Extraordinary Commissioner at Agrokor for non-core businesses and the asset portfolio. Irena Weber is a finance and investment professional who, before joining Agrokor, served as Management Board Member at Kent Bank in charge of the corporate sector, legal sector and IT.
From 2008 to 2016 she held various responsible positions at Addiko Bank where she was, amongst other things, Executive Director in charge of investment banking, corporate banking and for two years headed the retail banking operations.
She started her career at the CAIB investment bank in the year 2000, where she advanced to the position of Assistant Director. For six years at CAIB, she ran and participated in numerous restructuring and privatization projects as well as mergers and acquisitions in Croatia and the region. Amongst other things, she advised the Croatian Government in the restructuring and privatization process of the shipbuilding sector as well as the privatization process of the insurance company Croatia osiguranje and of Dubrovačka banka. She advised the investor Heidelberg cement in the privatization project of the Kakanj cement plant in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
After leaving CAIB, she ran the brokerage company TO ONE as Partner and Director.
She attended a number of professional educations, passed the exams as investment adviser and broker and works part time as lecturer at the Zagreb Stock Exchange Academy. She graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb and holds a degree in finance. Irena Weber speaks English and French.
