Jan 30, 2017
The position of Agrokor retail improved by 33 places and is the leading regional retailer among the leading retail chains in the world.
The leading retailers in the world had an income of total USD 4,31 trillion achieveing growth of 5,2 percent as shown by the composite indicator according to the “Global Powers of Retailing 2017” report prepared by Deloitte consulting and audit company.
“The advancement of Agrokor retail on this list with a jump of 33 positions is the result of integrating Konzum and Mercator retail networks into a retail chain with 2.000 stores that made us not only a regional leader, but a leader in the entire South East Europe retail market. In the previous period we have started a process of fulfilling joint synergies based on coordinating market policies and improved planning, with the goal of further increasing the efficiency of business operations. The full effects of these opportunities and the full power of synergies are expected to be complete in the upcoming period that will be, as it was before, marked by creating new value and new standards in excellence as our key strengths for the future. A better international position of Agrokor’s retail is also the best confirmation of the strategy that Agrokor was pursuing over the years – of expansion and development with a persistent orientation on the quality of business operations, new investments, high productivity and competitiveness, continuous technological upgrades, modern work organization and investment in our people.”, said Ivica Todorić, President of the Agrokor Group.
