Mercator coaching presented to the National Council as an example of best practice

At the 6th Coaching Conference of Career Coaches entitled Selfhood - towards one's self to others, which took place on 10 May at the National Council of the Republic of Slovenia in Ljubljana, participants pondered how one can find the path to one's self and one's excellence, which is a skill also expressed at the workplace.

Glotta Nova, one of the organizers, invited Mercator to participate as an example of best practice. Our colleague Tamara Audič, member of the staff development and selection department in Mercator, presented first steps in the introduction of coaching in the company, how Mercator develops internal coaches, how it offers external coaches, and how coaching skills, techniques and tools can be used in the development of our own staff.

She stressed the importance of companies being aware that staff members with potential, which the company wants to retain, also need to be developed. Coaching is one tool with which this can be achieved.
