At the recent Oracle Open World conference in San Francisco, mStart received the Oracle Sustainability Innovation Award. This award is given to Oracle partners and clients who recognize environment protection as one of the priorities in business. This year’s award winners presented unique ways for cost reduction and increasing business efficiency by using innovative Oracle technologies.

Josip Pojatina, chief technical architect received the award on behalf of mStart

“mStart, as part of Agrokor Group, is actively participating in the reduction of harmful influences to the environment and for a longer period of time has been using Oracle’s technological solutions that contribute to environment protection and thus to cost optimization. We consider this to be a very important contribution by mStart to the advancement of sustainable development in business operations of our partners, but to us as a company too.” said Mate Krpan, CEO of mStart.

In order to reduce expenditure of electricity and optimize its usefulness, mStart has been using Oracle products for a sizeable period of time. “Real Application Cluster” is an Oracle product that allows savings in electric energy, reduces cooling costs and save space. “Advanced compression” reduces space required for data storage and in this way saves energy, while “Oracle VM” consolidates servers and reduces electric power consumption.

“Oracle Retail Demand Forecasting” and „Oracle Retail Replenishment Optimization“ are used in retail and have a great influence at Supply Chain effectiveness through reducing transport costs and CO2 emissions and the effective use of stock reduces the amount of generated waste. With the use of all said solutions mStart is actively conducting its dedication to corporate responsibility and contributes to business advancements, environment protection and sustainable growth.
