New management in Agrokor companies


In accordance with continuous market changes and with the aim of strengthening its management teams, and based on analyzing new business tasks as well as profiles of leading managers in the Group, Agrokor decided to rotate managers of several Agrokor Group companies.

Veljko Ostojić takes over Agrolaguna d.d. as the new CEO of the company, and Marinko Benić, Member of the Management Board of Karisma Hotels Adriatic, will be promoted to the position of CEO of that company. At the same time, Goran Kramarić, CEO of Agrolaguna d.d. will take over the position of CEO of Zvijezda d.d. from Goran Pajnić who will continue his work as executive director for agriculture in Agrokor with a focus on business operations of the entire regional agricultural segment of Agrokor’s business.

Veljko Ostojić was born Pazin in 1958 and graduated in 1981 from the University of Zagreb with a Degree in International Business. He started his professional career in hotel consulting and during his rich career he was deputy to CEO SOUR Istra Jadran, CEO of “Istra Adria Marketing”, Member of the Management Board of “HTP Rabac”, the director of Istria Tourist Board, director of “Brijuni Rivijera d.o.o.”, CEO of “Riviera Poreč d.d.”, president of the Supervisory Board of Istrian Tourism Development Agency and Member of the Economy Council to the President of the Republic of Croatia. Previous to joining Karisma Hotels Adriatic in autumn 2013, he was the Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Croatia from 2012-2013.

Marinko Benić was born in 1970. in Dubrovnik and after attaining degrees form the Faculty of Maritime Studies, as well as Faculty of Foreign Trade and Tourism, he worked as an advisor for bank recovery and privatization, was a Member of the Management Board of VABA bank, Director of the Financial Consulting department at KPMG Croatia, CEO of PGM Ragusa and CFO in Coning Group. At the end of 2012 he assisted the founding of Karisma Hotels Adriatic where he soon advanced to CFO and Member of the Management Board.

Goran Kramarić was born in 1960 in Karlovac. He completed post graduate studies at Veterinarian Faculty in Zagreb and soon afterwards began working in Meggle where he held several managing positions in Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia and Bulgaria. In 2004 he became CEO of Meggle Hrvatska d.o.o. and in 2006 deputy to chief executive for Eastern Europe. In 2008 he became the CEO of Agrolaguna.

Goran Pajnić was born in 1973 in Našice and graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb. He worked in Zagrebačka banka as head of distribution channels department, and then he became the CEO of Našicecement, from where he came to Agrokor in 2006. His first  job in Agrokor was managing the Belje cooperation company. In October 2007 he took over the position of Belje CEO where he stayed until August 2014. After that he was promoted to the position of Executive Director for Agriculture in the Agrokor Group. Pajnić is also the president of the Executive Board of Food industry and Agriculture in HUP (Croatian Employers’ Association).
