May 18, 2001
Within the scope of the International Agriculture Fair held in Novi Sad from May 14 to 19, 2001, the Agrokor Group has presented its business activities and plans regarding the Yugoslav market. Besides maintaining its leading position on the Croatian market, Agrokor intends to intensify its export activities and strenghten the position of its brands on the regional markets of the whole South-Eastern Europe. Regarding the Yugoslav market, Agrokor is interested to establish business cooperations based on partnerships with the local companies engaged in agriculture and the production of food and drinks, and is soon to found an own company in Belgrade. The Group member Ledo has with its products since two weeks been present at the market of Vojvodina, and other Group brands are soon to enter the market of Yugoslavia. Ledo used to sell up to 1,700 tons of ice-cream per year in Yugoslavia formerly, and since it is a recognizable brand for the consumers of the local market the good sales results in only two weeks of our presence there are not surprising.
