Top-rate Belje Merlot Wins Best Red Wine at Third Zagreb Wine Gourmet Festival

Last weekend, the Zagreb Museum of Arts and Crafts hosted the third Zagreb Wine Gourmet Festival. This unique exhibition, devoted to oenology and gastronomy, presented around 140 top-rate winemakers and makers of gourmet products from Croatia and other countries, and famous Croatian and international chefs took care of the gourmet programme. The Zagreb Wine Gourmet Festival 2010 dedicated special attention to the excellence of the presented wines, so the selection of exhibitors was very meticulous: 70 first-rate Croatian winemakers, including winners of Decanter awards, and another 70 winemakers from Slovenia, Italy, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, Hungary, Serbia and New Zealand. Agrokor vina d.o.o. took this occasion to offer all the devotees of good vintage the best wines from its cellars: Agrolaguna Poreč, Podrumi Belje, Iločki podrumi, Istavino, Mladina and Vizba Valandovo. The top-rate 2007 vintage Merlot from Podrumi Belje was named the best red wine at the festival.
